Coby MP200-1GBLK Customer Reviews

"Useful for Price"
Previously I have used a Sansa San Disk and a Creative Zen Stone as inexpensive MP3 players costing less than $20. The problem that I had with both of them was that if you pressed and held the fast forward, you were likely to reset the unit to the beginning of the track. If you were listening to a long podcast of an hour or two, you would have to take several minutes to fast forward back to the place where you were and risk having the same thing happen all over again. This Coby has individual buttons, which the other two units do not. Therefore, I have not had the problem of an unwanted reset to the beginning of a track.

The provided earphones worked fine for me. Also, it is convenient to have the USB connector as part of the unit itself. Both the Sansa and the Creative require a separate USB cable (provided). The only down side that I have experienced so far with the Coby is that there is no screen to tell you what you are listening to or how far along you are in the track. The Sansa San Disk provides a screen, but the Creative Zen Stone does not.

"MP3 Player"
This is just a plain low cost MP3 player that's small and portable. The sound is good, screen is poor and forget about organizing. I use it for long bike rides or in other situations where I'm not concerned about messing with any controls.

"RELIABLE SOLID STATE MINIATURIZATION"
This mp3 player may be small but it's musical qualities are large. Twenty five hours of sounds from an AAA battery. Easy loading and or changing of hundreds of songs with its USB drive. Easy to use volume control, forward or backward song buttons, and it fits in your pocket. I save the best for last; it's reasonable cost! Buy it!

"Very Reliable."
This little Coby MP3 {1g} Is probably the best little mp3 Ive had in a while.
I break a lot of mp3s so I bought this one because it was cheap and expected nothing more from it...
But its been about a week now, and it seems to be very reliable. Especially with battery life.
Ive had the same battery -the one included- for a while now. It may not hold as many songs as your iPod, but you can always
shuffle them out. As for portability- its perfect! It has a strap hole... [the cell phone strap type] and I bought a cute lanyard to hang it on. I use it everyday and it hasn't experienced any problems like the other reviewers say it has. The only time it shut off is when I accidentally dropped it. {Im hazardous to electronics, lol} The reason it shut off was completely my own fault. But since then- It hasn't done anything unusual.

One thing I DONT Recommend is using the pre-installed software on the device.
It sucks. Just open your documents- go to computer-find the device- right click then "explore".
I would recommend deleting all of the files except for the AUTORUN file.
That gets rid of that crapy Coby file manager.

Thats about it.
Im pretty happy with it. c:

"Great MP3 Player"
I bought one of these for myself, and my wife liked it so much she took mine. So I had to get another one. It does not have a view finder to tell you what you are playing or how much battery life you have left, but it certainly does the job.
