"Call it Clip Minus!"
My husband purchased the Sansa ClipPlus from Amazon in December 2009 as a Christmas for me. He has the previous version of a 2gb Sansa Clip and has been very satisfied with it. He bought me a 4gb ClipPlus because of its extra memory and features. We use the players primarily when we're working out at the gym. I was quite pleased with everything about my gift until the clip broke off. I was wearing gym shorts with the ClipPlus attached at the waistband and it snapped right off. This was in early May and my usage had been twice a week for four months. I contacted Sansa tech support and they requested I take and email pictures of the clip and player. Eventually they agreed to having me ship back the ClipPlus for a new one. Got a replacement back within 10 days. I did have to reload all my music which was backed up on my computer. So, today, I got a surprise. I found my new player (which was sitting in the plastic packing case) with another broken clip. I've only used this new player 3 times. Just talked with Sansa tech support and they want me to do the same procedure (take and email pictures) and they will make a decision. I told them I would be willing to take a 2gb Sansa Clip (like my husbands) or anything with a different clip system than the ClipPlus. They said if they make a replacement it has to be the exact model. I'm trying to decide if I really want another replacement of the same (when it is pretty obvious that the clip system is defective). It will mean a couple of weeks again without a player and the likelihood that the clip will break again. I may just live with the one I have and try to find workout clothes with pockets.

"Sandisk Clip + Just what I wanted"
The Sandisk Clip+ 4 GB serves my purpose admirably, would recommend 8 GB though as the 4GB SD card I added for storage ended up costing more in the long run than buying the 8GB version of the Clip+.
The unit is nice and small, display is adequate considering the size and it plays Audible audio books. This I like for long flights, long walks or working alone around the yard. Haven't tried it with external playback so I can't say but the sound is real fine with good ear-buds.

"Died after 4 months"
Sad; This unit has nice sound quality, but just dies. Tried reset; no good. Wont start up wont connect to computer. Will try to find warranty, but what a chore. Should not do this. Would not buy again...

"Lots of Pros, 1 major Con"
Pro:
Great price, great sound, easy to use.

DURABILITY ISSSUES:

CON: My wife has a Sansa Clip and was very careful with it but the clip on it broke anyway so when I bought this Clip+ I tried to be EXTREMELY careful with the clip but, alas, mine also disintergrated within a month or so.

PRO: I took it into the pool with me (inadvertently) last weekend. YIKES! Anyway there was water floating in the viewer and it would, of course, not work. I figured it was a goner. I was about to toss it but I turned it on the next morning and, MIRACLE, it worked perfectly again and is still working.

"Good deal"
I love this little mp3 player. The price is the best. I got it for 40 dollas. It is great to go walking with and it stores all my songs.
